Privacy Policy

Mangerate is a privacy-first recipe app for iPhone and iPad. We do not run our own user databases, ad tech, or analytics pipelines. Your recipes are stored in your own Apple iCloud account via CloudKit.

What we collect

We do not collect personal data on our servers. Mangerate has no sign-up, no in-app account system, and no tracking SDKs. We do not receive or store your recipes.

Where your data lives

• Recipes & collections: Stored in your iCloud account using Apple CloudKit. Apple is your data processor for storage and sync.
• Local settings: Certain preferences (e.g., UI choices) are stored on-device (UserDefaults) or in your iCloud account as part of app data.
• Shared collections: If you choose to share, iCloud manages sharing and permissions; the collection owner controls access.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment details. Apple may provide us non-identifying purchase status necessary to enable features.

Analytics & tracking

We do not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. Apple and your device may collect basic diagnostics you can control in iOS settings.

Data retention & deletion

• On-device: You can delete the app to remove local data.
• iCloud: You can delete your recipes/collections from within the app, and you can manage app data in your Apple ID iCloud settings.
• Shared collections: Collection owners can remove access and content in iCloud sharing settings.

Children’s privacy

Mangerate is designed for general use and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Because the app does not require accounts or registration, we do not have access to user data. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us via the support contact form, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Security

Data is stored and transmitted via Apple’s iCloud services. We rely on Apple’s security and encryption for CloudKit and App Store transactions.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “Last updated” date.
