Your recipes. Saved your way. Shared your way.
Mangerate is a privacy-first recipe app for iPhone and iPad. Import recipes from websites or other apps like Paprika or Recipe Keeper. Organize your collections, search instantly, and share what you love with friends and family — all through iCloud.
No sign-up. No tracking. No ads. Your data stays yours.
Every recipe in Mangerate belongs to a collection. Start with “My Recipes,” your private collection synced to your iCloud account. From there, you can:
Whether you’re organizing your weeknight staples, collecting holiday favorites with siblings, or swapping ideas with friends, Mangerate keeps it simple and organized.
Use your iPhone on the go, or switch to your iPad in the kitchen with a fully optimized layout — ideal for hands-on or hands-free cooking. When you’re in “cooking mode,” your steps and ingredients are side-by-side, and you can even have your iPad read out the steps — so you can keep your cooking hands off the touchscreen.
All your recipes stay in sync automatically across devices through your iCloud account.
Mangerate uses Apple’s iCloud system — not third-party servers. We don’t store your recipes. We don’t track you. And we’ll never ask you to create an account. Your recipes are saved directly to your iCloud account, and only you control who sees them.
Create a shared recipe collection and invite others to contribute. Everyone manages their own recipes — no one else can modify or delete them. Only the collection owner can remove content or change who has access.
All powered by Apple’s CloudKit with full end-to-end privacy.
Switching from another app? Just drop in your backup file from Paprika or Recipe Keeper — we’ll do the rest. You can also import recipes directly from websites using Safari’s share button. More import formats coming soon.
Want to send a recipe to someone who doesn’t use Mangerate?
No problem — you can:
No accounts, no setup — just simple sharing that works.
No subscriptions. No login screens. Just your recipes, organized the way you like. Build collections. Add tags. Export and share with others. And yes, generate a smart grocery list with checkboxes for Notes or paper.
Mangerate is a made-up word — born in a multilingual home where English, French, and Italian intermingle daily. It blends the French “manger” and Italian “mangiare” (both meaning “to eat”) into something new: a verb, a vibe, a way to share what you cook and love.
To Mangerate is to cook, collect, and share — on your terms.
Curious how Mangerate began? It started as a small pandemic project that grew into a privacy-first recipe app. You can read the story on Medium.
Whether you’re cooking from a French blog, a Spanish food magazine, or your grandma’s handwritten Italian recipe — Mangerate keeps the original language intact.
Recipes are stored with their native-language ingredients and instructions.
And because the app adapts its interface automatically, you’ll see labels and fields in the correct language — not just a universal English shell.
Mangerate is currently localized in multiple languages, and more are being added.
Because recipes should speak the same language you do.
